CHALLENGE YOURSELF

“The biggest change you will have is to challenge your own self-doubt and your laziness” ~ Robert Kiyosaki

Most times as individuals, we never challenge ourselves. We just love the “status quo” that is we love our situations the way they are and we don’t want to change them.

Our worst fear is failure and most people live under the shadow of failure, self doubt and laziness that they don’t try anything at all.

In his Book “THINK BIG” famous Neurosurgeon and Writer Dr. Ben Carson shared this amazing story of a girl named Amber Kyle who was an expectant mother carrying a set of twins.
But fortunately, in her uterus, one of the twin babies has a rapidly expanding head from hydrocephalus.

This would eventually cause premature labour and eventually led to the death of the mother. The only solution was to conduct a very complicated surgery on the mother so as to save her lives and that of her unborn twins.

It was in the summer of 1986 and previously surgeons had not done such surgical procedures before. The only way to prevent premature labour and to save the mother and child was to stop the foetus head that was continually growing and expanding to stop and prevent the growth while still in the womb.

To get more background and information, Dr. Ben Carson had to talk to another neurosurgeon, Robert Broadner, who was then practicing in Florida.

Both Dr. Carson and Dr. Broadner performed this complicated surgery and the lives of the mother and her twin babies were saved.

Like Dr. Ben Carson who was known for taking risk in performing complicated surgeries and became successful where other surgeons had failed. You must be ready to challenge yourself, confront your fears and doubt.
