IF YOU PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH…

( A MUST READ)
A pastor was rushing to meet a preaching appointment when he got to the scene of an accident. He was the only one at the scene, but, instead of helping, he left, justifying his actions by saying that the accident was the work of the devil trying to distract him from preaching God's word.

When he got to the venue of the program and was about to preach, the host pastor received a call informing him that one of the members of the church was involved in an accident and was at the point of death.

The host pastor left the church program and told the members of the congregation to forego the normal program and pray instead. He apologized to the guest preacher and ran to the clinic where the accident victim was receiving first aid treatment; a nurse in the clinic informed him that the man was in a precarious state, because he had lost a lot of blood, as he wasn't brought in early enough.

Sometime later, the man who had been in the accident gained consciousness and signaled the pastor. He told the pastor that their guest preacher had been at the scene of the accident but had ignored his calls for help, leaving him to bleed. The man had recognized the guest pastor from the posters that publicized the program. Soon after, the man died from his wounds. The host pastor went to visit the guest preacher in the hotel where he was lodged, and dismissed him, after recounting to him what he had been told by the accident victim.

The guest preacher had shown clearly that he had no love of God in his heart, which was why he ignored a weak and dying man, in favor of a preaching appointment.

What are you preaching if not love?
