HOW PORN ADDICTION STARTS

“Sex scenes in movies are not bad. As long as you have stamina, there's nothing there.
Besides, you're an adult already. You no be small pikin” he was told by a colleague at work.

Even though it was clear that he was stepping into danger, he ignored the silent nudge to stay back.

Of a truth, he was no longer a child.
He was now an adult–25 years old.

He needed to stop acting like a child or one who had parents monitoring him.

He went ahead to download a certain movie that was trending.
He had heard some reviews about the movie and the explicit sex scenes involved, so he knew what he was getting into.

From watching the movie, he proceeded to replay the seemingly 'harmless' sex scenes.

Then he downloaded more movies with worse scenes than the previous one.

He continued until he could no longer stop.
This time, he didn't want to waste his time downloading movies and waiting for such scenes.

He wanted to see the real stuff.
That was how he got introduced to porn and got hooked on it.

Stopping felt hard, so he continued anyway.
He had accepted his fate.

A good Christian guy had become a porn addict overnight, and was on his way into masturbation.

It's easier to get into sexual addictions than to come out of them.

That's why it's better not to tread that path if you haven't yet.

If you already have, there's hope for you.
You can be whole again.
