HOW TO RECOGNIZE YOUR TALENTS? (Part 1)

Most people do not realize that almost nothing is ever accomplished by anyone without having spent time on it, thinking about it and analyzing it. – Dr. Ben Carson

I want to point out one mistake I have noticed particularly among the low and middle-income families.

The parents who are under achievers try to take over the lives of their children and decide their future for them.

And what become of children that comes from low-income and middle-earning families whose parents are under-achievers? They will end up becoming under-achievers too.

Remember, this is your life, we all as individuals have our unique life to live. Our gifts, talents, personality, physique, like and dislikes differ from that of our parents. Above all, we belong to a different generation and age.

How then will you want to follow after your parents, friends or relatives footprints?

You were created an original and not a photocopy.

Therefore, you must learn to discover your talents and make use of them.

This is what people must do, regardless of their socio-economic background. To make the most out of our life, all of us need to stop, think (and analyze) and use the talents God has given us.

Rather than just going to study any course or learn any vocation, you must ask yourself these questions:

1.        Am I passionate about what am doing?

2.        Even when am not paid, will I still do it?

3.        Does it give me satisfaction and joy?

4.        Am I impacting lives whenever I go to work or running my business?

If you are sincere with yourself, you will discover your talents by answering the above questions.

Remember, God gave us talents and the moment we start using them, we will start achieving fulfillment and fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives.
