EPISODE 10: No Exit (Final Episode)
Written by Multiplegist
They said I died.
That my body was burned by the bride’s fire.
That I vanished into the flame with no scream, no struggle—just peace.
But they were wrong.
I didn't die.
Not completely.
My body turned to ash…
But my soul?
It was trapped.
I woke up in a mirror.
Not a dream.
Not a vision.
A mirror.
The same mirror the bride once emerged from.
Now, I was behind the glass. Watching.
Screaming silently.
And just like her, I couldn’t cross out.
The curse had been lifted from the village—but not broken.
The price I paid freed everyone else…
But chained me to her place.
Because the curse wasn’t just about blood or sacrifice.
It was about remembrance.
And someone always had to carry the weight.

The village of Onigba changed.
People laughed again.
Children played outside after sunset.
The 6PM fear faded like a bad memory.
Mama Chinyere died peacefully three weeks after I vanished.
They say she smiled when she took her last breath.
The shrine was abandoned.
The graveyard sealed.
The bones were buried—properly, this time.
But one thing remained in the center of the village…
A mirror. Covered in white cloth.
No one dared look into it.
Until one night…
A curious boy named Chibuike walked into the shrine, searching for something shiny.
He lifted the cloth.
And for a second—just one second—
He saw me.
Not as I was, but what I had become.
The Watcher.
His eyes widened.

“Mama…” he whispered.
“I think someone lives inside the glass.”
Now I wait.
Behind the reflection.
Watching the village live in the peace my blood bought.

But the curse isn’t gone.
It’s only sleeping.
And one day, someone will awaken it again.
Because evil never leaves.
It just changes form.
So I remain in the mirror…
Watching.
Whispering.
Waiting.

For the next midnight…
When someone forgets the price.
And opens the wrong door.
THE END
🪞 Evil never really dies. It simply learns to hide in plain sight.
