His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, the 46th Alaafin of Oyo and and his beautiful Olori Abiwumi Owoade shared a lovely story of how he woke up to a text message in Canada, a text that began his journey to becoming Oba.

With his ascension to the throne, things have changed and I'm sure many of their friends will know that the change is 360° and that you don't stand to greet the king... No more fist bumps or leg taps, all of those hang outs before he became king now remains in the past...the change is Real and everyone must conform!

They will no longer have time for petty things because the weight of a Race is on his shoulders and his people come first in whatever he does!
